The Ministry of Tourism, a Government of India body, is the nodal authority for the formulation of Tourism National Policies and Programs. These policies & programs also help in co-ordination of activities of various Central Government Agencies, State Governments / UTs and the Private Sector for developing and promotingTourism in the country. This Ministry is headed by the Union Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge). HEAT is approved by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India into three different sectors.

HEAT is a member of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA INTERNATIONAL). PATA is a membership association working to promote the responsible development of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region.

ADTOI is the National Body of Domestic Tour Operators, constituted on 7th August 1996 with the express purpose of consolidating the efforts of all those tour operators who are actively engaged in the promotion of "Domestic Tourism" in the country. HEAT is registered active member of ADTOI.

IATOis the National apex Tour Operators body for of the tourism industry of India. IATO has over 4000 members covering all segments of Tourism. Out of 300 active IATO membersHEAT is also one of them.

OTOAI is a national, not-for-profit organization comprising India’s Outbound Tour Operators body. HEAT is an active member of OTOAI.

ITTA is a registered national body of “Tourist Transport Operators”, who are recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and are solely involved in providing surface transport facilities to the foreign/domestic tourists. HEAT is an active member of ITTA.

TAAI is an association formulated to regulate the Travel industry in India. It is also the national association for all travel agents, tour operators, travel consultants, airlines & hoteliers in India, representing entire travel and tourism fraternity. HEAT is registered as an Active member of TAAI.

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) is a dynamic organization that guides the travel industry in India. HEAT is registered as an active member of TAFI.

ETAA is a professional association representing the retail tour operator / travel industry in India. HEAT is a member of Enterprising Travel Agent's Association.

IAAI has grown in stature to become a dedicated Trade Association of IATA Accredited Passenger Sales Travel Agents with a membership of 958 as on December 2012, representing one third of the total travel industry in India. HEAT is duly member of IAAI.

WBTDCL is owned by Government of West Bengal under the administrative control of Tourism Department and the entire share capital of the Company is contributed by the State Government.HEAT is also approved by the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited.

The Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India was established on 18 July, 1961 and represents the hotel and restaurant industry of twelve states and a Union Territory in Eastern India. HEAT is an active member of HRAEI.

The Federation of Indian Export Organizations represents the Indian entrepreneur’s spirit of enterprise in the global market. Known popularly as FIEO, this apex body of Indian export promotion organizations was set up jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and private trade and industry professional in the year 1965. HEAT is an active member of Federation of Indian Export Organization.

SKAL is a professional organization of tourism leaders around the world with its head office in Madrid, Spain, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. HEAT is also an active member of SKAL.
